At Rent-Hub, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our platform.

Information We Collect

Personal Information:

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • Profile information (role, preferences, optional student status)
  • Identity verification: when you verify your ID via Stripe Identity, your document (ID card, driving licence, or passport) is processed by Stripe. We store only the verification session ID and verification status—we do not store copies of your ID
  • Payment information: card details are entered directly with Stripe. We do not store card numbers; Stripe processes payments in compliance with PCI-DSS

Property Information:

  • Listings you create (for landlords)
  • Search preferences and saved listings
  • Messages and communications

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain our services
  • To process payments (contract fees, featured listings, contact viewing) via Stripe
  • To verify user identity: phone verification and ID verification through Stripe Identity (document verification)
  • To display verified badges on profiles when identity verification is complete
  • To facilitate communication between landlords and tenants
  • To improve our platform and user experience
  • To send important updates and notifications

Third-Party Processors: Stripe

We use Stripe, Inc. for two purposes:

  • Stripe Identity: ID document verification. Your ID is processed by Stripe; we receive only verification status. Stripe's handling of identity data is governed by their Privacy Policy and Identity Services Agreement.
  • Stripe Payments: All card payments (contract signing, featured listings, contact viewing) are processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. All data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls.

Your Rights

You have the right to:
